I'm out

Just dumped the last of my sgy holdings at $0.15 and it feels good to drop the turd. Another reminder to not invest in "bad" Companies. Go look through the management bios. Does not give confidence. I slap myself for being duped. The lack of insider buying finally spooked me into taking the loss and moving on.

Yes. If management really thought they were worth 3x+ where they are now they would be taking martgages on their vacation properties and buying shares by the 100's of thousands. I think what we have now is an entrenched teram clinging to their desks. I am sure they will be rewarded with a large severence package when they support the go-Private deal that is soon to materialize (ala BNP)

You do realize that SGY is up 33% since you sold! Sadly, you were "had" by one of the best organized bashing campaigns in years! I will not be surprised if Eric Nutall picked up your 15 cent shares! Kherson

Kherson Kherson Kherson. I sold most of my SGY at $0.15 mid October and bought WCP with the money.  Since then WCP is up about 110%, I am collecting regular dividends and all things considered believe WCP is a stronger financial position. Quick,  which would you rather own? WCP or SGY?

Still curious how this all unfolds thats all .Its like watching a slow motion car crash and for some reason  I can't take my eyes off of it. For the record I took my leftover pennies from my ill fated Surge investment and rolled it into WCP which has had a nice run the last couple of days so not feeling too bad about Surge sitting at $0.20 now. But if you cuuld answer a couple questions ...more

Het Consort I think you and Honest Al made a good move that fits with your goals. JohnnyF is just a big grump. He's taken lots of runs at me on other boards. He actually never posts anyting useful, just rude criticisms of other posters. I actually think he's just taking out his bad investing anger. When my wife and I sold our SGY at $2.47 back in Apr-May, 2016, we took a lot of flack on ...more

Thanks Sarge.  No, guys like Freezin' are a dime a dozen and offer nothing constructive.  I'm old enough to not give a rats a$$!!!!  He still hasn't sold me on why to hold SGY today.  I'm happy with my decision to move on and i hope the longs do well.  I've held SGY since 2014, 2015 and make some dough in and out, collected some dividend, I'm good ...more

JohnArsewipeFrieson......do you offer anything constructive? Because your posts make YOU look like the fool. Try offering something that would try and sell me that Surge will not go belly up in a reasonable time frame.

Oh, I'm pretty sure we've all done this. But for those that just bought some at 16 (me) or less, feel free to gloat.  It's really really hard to be smarter than most people but so easy to be lucky, or unlucky.

If only it were true. The shameless, unscrupulous, bashers and paid bashers don't actually own or even better, short anything. They are just shaking the trees to pick off the gullible. Every now and then they slip up and pull this cr@p on a USA listed stock and the sec pounces on them like a feral cat on a rat.

It worked out fine. I didn't leave the sector just redeployed it into WCP as I explained. It didn't have quite the double the old SGY has had but IMO is a better long term prospect. I still like the management history of WCP over SGY.  Outside of the big man what officer impresses you most?

Nope.Looking back I I don't think a lateral move into WCP was stupid. I cleaned out the SGY holding in my equity account but I still have a rump 5000 shares in a TFSA (bought at $1.02) so I still watch SGY. I also watch other stocks that I currently don't have a holding in to see if something compelling develops.  The key that you don't seem to grasp is you need to take the ...more
