I think its likely Nuttall buying back in before the sale of Shaunavon is announced.  1.5M shares is pretty big...doubt its due to retail investors.

So you think he just outright lies on national TV?  It's possible I guess, but didn't he say that SGY is just an irrelevant stock, not big enough to warrant interest in its current state, despite the cash flow potential?  I guess everyone can change their mind based on the current facts, but that would seem like quite an about face by him.  I hope  it's true that ...more

Everything Eric talks about on national TV is always related to what stocks are in the energy fund he manages.The calls and emails are not random. They are pre-screened so he can talk about as many companies as possible that are in the Ninepoint Energy fund. Companies that are in the fund get promoted on national TV and companies no longer in the fund tend to get bashed.  I always rate Eric& ...more

Uwebb429, excellent post. Too many narrow minded people think Nuttall is some stock guru who wull lead them to the promised land. I remember years ago he was high on Baytex and nothing but good to say and it kept falling. He can turn on a dime. ACE$

Yes, I definitely don't see him as a stock guru.  Quite knowledgeable on oil-related matters and a sharp guy but he is ALWAYS bullish for obvious reasons.  You have to take his comments in a measured way. I don't expect the stock to go to the moon uwebb, but how about just getting back to a $1 level pre-split ($8.50)?  OR, a company steps in to scoop up the quality assets ...more
