Based on their interest alone in the two zinc properties Solitario is worth arguably $2.50 to $3.00 dollars a share. That makes this a very safe investment… The added upside comes with the potential of finding a multi million ounce gold deposit which is located in a very safe and secure tier one district. Just to put things into perspective, the Homestake deposit was the largest iron formation gold deposit in the world…the gold was found in a number of ledges... basically underground structures that were shaped like cigars... Solitario's management believes there could be multiple similar gold bearing ledge type in the area and that's what they are pursuing… With the recent numerous high-grade gold assays that they recently reported (all at surface btw)  what a better place to start?

I know nothing of their zinc properties and the value of same.  However, the stellar results publically released by xpl on their channel sample, if in fact holds up would scream "How could this be missed" by Homestake.  If I was a stockholder in HMC I would expect every geo ever paid by HMC to send their paychecks back because they damn sure weren't worth the money paid

Redazz, I think you said it all when you started your post by saying "I know nothing" lol...that definitely applies to all of us as no one knows what happened or didn't happen with respect to exploration activities by Homestake over the years and especially on the ground staked by Solitario. Regardless though, fortune favours the bold and those who serendipitously staked these

Touche' I no nothing.   I Mr, freedom speak with some limited knowledge as I am not a virgin when dealing with Canadian mining companies and speak Canadian fluently "EH".  I have knowledge of the immediate area and personally knew a few of the old Homestake geologists and they were "no dummies".  I am a bigtime believer in the potential of the Black Hills
