When does the knife stop falling?

I was honestly laughing when people were talking about the dividend cut as they are well covered. But with the price movement down towards $6 and a dividend at that point being around 12%, I am pretty worried now as a large sharholder.

The selling is mainly from 1 or 2 sellers. JP Morgan and an Anonymous seller. Its 1 or 2 large holders exiting. Possibly just 1 holder selling in 2 accounts.

For every seller there is a buyer, I wouldn't  be surprised if Brookfield is one of those buyers, I know I am one, I have owned this stock for a long time and they have had their ups downs but they have always paid a dividend.. This company is much more exciting now than it was 20 years ago trading at a  much higher price.

stockstarker...it is quite possible that they are a buyer given the daily trading volumes.  It is certainly what they did in the case of IPL where they quietly bought 10% of the company and then announced a takeover bid.  On the otherhand they could be just sitting in the bush and will strike later. Either way, given their history I wouldn't expect to see a takeover by them and at a ...more

es,there is someting going on here. Its just too much of a relentless dropping. The fact that theres always a buyer doesnt mean much when the stock continues lower. All without any company disclosure as to why its happening . I find that unusual as well. Losing this % over the last short while should have investors asking questions, but zero. Financials coming soon, however ,from my investment manager, ...more

Selling at this level is a "have to", not a "want to". We'll find out eventually.

Go study up on Peter Lynch. If you're confident in the company, the share price shouldn't matter.

himmler...good points... From my days working as an investment advisor, the rules for disclosure by a company are somewhat loose.  Basically, a company is responsible for disclosing something which has a material effect on the company and the timing of this has a high degree of latitude. Curiously, in this case, IMO, SPB did disclose a material event last July which is something I have ...more

This years chart is looking very much like 2011. I am holding my position for now and will not add again until the stock actually bottoms.

It's called tax loss selling and window dressing....no portfolio manager wants to be seen holding this at month end. might bounce a little next week with earnings, then fade into year end. your investment advisor sucks like you.

Its tax loss selling from Jan 1st to Dec 31st with SPB, lol. BAM will buy this at $4.50/share or lower, they always screw shareholders in the end. Best of Luck to All!
