Stelco Share Buyback....

Anyone know if they completed their NCIB? Commenced on Feb 28th, allowing them to purchase up to a maximum of 117,000 shares/day, up to a max 4,353,000 shares total...

They haven't announced yet, and likely won't until Q1 results. Based on the volume trends, looks like they were buying daily which drove the price up and now the price has slid back a bit as volumes decreased. Gotta assume the company purchases drove that. Looking forward to a great Q1 announcement.  Prices have spiked again as a result of the conflict in the Ukraine and the company ...more

Duke16, I just checked the SEDI insider filings and the most recent data (Transaction Dates March 1 - March 9) has the company buying back a little more than 500k shares and retiring them.  The purchase price was between $41 and $44. Like you, I'm also looking forward to Q1 returns. GLTA
