Predation by domestic cats is the number-one direct, human-caused threat to birds in the United States and Canada.

In the United States alone, outdoor cats kill approximately 2.4 billion birds every year. Although this number may seem unbelievable, it represents the combined impact of tens of millions of outdoor cats. Each outdoor cat plays a part.

2.4 billion? Where did you get that number? That's a lot of dead birds. I read that windmills kill anywhere from 200k to over 600k per year in the US depending on what study you follow.

I made a comment in an earlier post about the birds being killed by windmills and desert things being killed by solar farms. BUT As investors, this discussion really matters not.  The key thing is that environmentalists, aided by the Main Stream media create a narrative about birds that is detrimental to the SP of an investment in SU.  This pressure has caused the regulator to delay ...more
