Suncor has purchased and canceled 158,846,000 common shares since January 2022. At today's modest market price ($44.50), these canceled shares would command a value of $7,068,647,000.00. Suncor paid far less in real dollar terms to acquire these shares.
It's a staggering figure.
I guess today's a good day to buy back some more common shares.
