Morning Coffee (6/17/11) "Sulliden Gold announced the completion of a new gold and silver resource estimate for its 100%-owned Shahuindo Project in Peru; the indicated gold resource increased by 121% from 0.89 Moz. to 1.97 Moz., while the inferred gold resource increased by 397% from 0.29 Moz. to 1.44 Moz. Sulliden shares have been soft recently, as market jitters and the Peruvian presidential election victory of leftist candidate Ollanta Humala left investors leery of buying the shares—the increased gold/silver resource, upcoming assays from the ongoing drill program and signs from the new Peruvian government that miners will not face dramatic changes in their royalty and tax structure should prove positive for the name going forward."
Richard Gray, Cormark Securities (6/17/11) "Sulliden reported a significantly increased resource estimate at its Shahunido project in Peru that delivered on expectations in terms of the numbers of ounces delineated; the total resource (M&I plus inferred) now stands at 3.41 Moz. gold and 66.6 Moz. silver, which are 188% and 167% increases, respectively, from the 2009 resource estimate. . .we would take the opportunity to build positions over the summer and benefit from what is expected to be an eventful second half of exploration drilling."
Gary Baschuk, Raymond James (6/16/11) "Sulliden released a revised resource estimate of the Shahuindo deposit and metallurgical results from a heap leach test program. . .a total gold resource (indicated and inferred) of 3.4 Moz. (an increase of 156% from the previous 1.3 Moz. estimate). More importantly, oxide and transitional ounces increased 91% to 2.2 Moz. . .the increase in size of the deposit and improvement of classification of resources are expected to decrease the strip ratio and improve economics. . . We continue to recommend purchasing shares of SUE on our expectations for active news flow and rapid development (de-risking) of its 100%-owned Shahuindo project in Peru."
