Convertible debentures are poison for shareholders. Get out!

The shares will do nothing but dive.

Silvercorp is done. Back to pennies.

The convertible debentures can be an advantageous way for the company to raise money at a lower interest rate. If the money is used wisely iand the company grows any dilusion affect on conversion to shares could be minimal. As well, the company does have the option of paying back the debenture holders with cash meaning no additional shares, so at this point in time, it is unknown if this will be ...more

another foreign owned  company,never forget, they dont think the same way. they are maybe doing this to repay in US cash the debenture holders so they can get rid of their US cash holdings with more to spare. Also there may be this weird income tax thing , like you know gold companies always have tax losses and surprising stuff, maybe this one would be good..They are also cash positive ...more

or i suspect the trading halt was orchestrated and stuff . They have studies probably that show when you dilute mysteriously and halt trading the shares tank. This dilution is minmial ,c mon, that other article that talks of dilution with 71% to 65% net profet per share is full of bull, it is tiny the difference - it is still big profit. This is another Newmont like move and those buying I suspect ...more

I have never seen debentures be anything but bad for shareholders. I've seen it many times over the last 30 years, and it was always a disaster for shareholders. Always.
