jwillis:river 3 meters lower than last year at port of manus
and it is dropping 25 cms a day, or 1 meter over last 4 days. Level was dropping at only 12 cms last year at this time. And from last year the level continues to aggressivly drop untill the end of october. And the drop increased last year.
Not sure if barging will have to halt up river at some point.
On the bright side, the loading on the first 4 days of sept were fantantic.
-Also of note, i also monitor the forecast, and it often has rain, but i think it is just a daily sprinkle, not amounting to much, as the water level has gone from dropping 4 centimeter a day, to like i said, 25 cm.
