Landlocked
For those interested, a discussion tonight on Global TV at 9 o'clock ET. The subject: Landlocked: Canada's Energy Dilemma.
I expect little news, but perhaps some new observations. Brad Wall thinks the provincial premiers should get the ball rolling. A (false) dilemma is this: Canada will spend more carbon to compress NG into LNG, while the good side is that LNG will replace dirtier carbons in Europe where they burn coal and so to generate heat and electricity.
Seems to me that Canada would reap enormous financial benefits to grow millions of trees for instance to alleviate the emissions. (And help us as investors!!).

Actually the LNG (Shell) facility at Kitamat is all electric with the power coming from the site C hydrp-electric project on the Peace River so no carbon footprint . Even the pipeline compressers are electric .

What i love about this now is the Liberals are talking about doing what Harper fought for decades ago. The Liderals and NDP has been a disaster for this country and the Democratic countries of thre world.

Great post... Kind of make you wish that stakeholders would start fixing the problems, instead of fixing the blame. Kenney and the UCP (MAGA light) need to walk back the anti BC, anti Quebec, anti Trudeau rhetoric. as these are the groups that Alberta has to deal with. DG needs to butt out and fix his own ship and AECO.

I worked for a city government and heard so many times how a businessman was going to come in and turn things around. So many tried and failed to accomplish much of anything. They don't work alone and its hard to get enough on board to get things done.

Are you joking? Poiliever is not a businessman. Not unless you count his time spent as a paperboy for the Calgary Sun, or the few months he spent doing collections for Telus. Poiliever is a career politician, even moreso than Justin.

Pollievre is the best politician and hopefully next PM that country has ever experienced. I went to listen to him a couple of weeks before he became leader of the Conservatives. Every word he says makes sense. He has more intelligence in one finger than his liberal counterpart has in his whole body.
