A barometer!
Doc... How close was the late 2012 option vote? was it a 5% margin? Was it less?
How many retail shareholders bothered to vote...10%, maybe 15%? The assumption of shareholders in votes of that nature is that their shares don't count.
Well, if McRae barely succeeded in his quest for more free options, with very limited shareholder turnout, how will he do when shareholders are angry, energized, and see a real tangible opportunity for change...and willing to vote?
The only way I can see to mitigate this desire for new leadership, is to create the impression, or the myth, that he already has the support to continue on. This way, you and I and the rest of retail holders will just concede, not bother registering our shares or taking the necessary steps to ensure that we can vote. In that case, he has a puncher's chance.
In reality the myth is just that, a myth... don't get the wool pulled over your eyes just yet.
