When politicians fail a country, that is what they offer! if we elect idiots, that is how things work.... why no windfall tax on everything else that makes record profits with our much needed essentials?  oil to hit $100 and VET to hit $30 soon....

O&G are pretty easy pickings in France these days. We can be thankful that in Canada they decided to WFT the banks instead of O&G although it looks like they could use some relief right about now.  It looks like they have the grocers in their sights atm but O&G in Canada has built in royalty to price increases and are contributing nicely so they probably won't revisit those.  ...more

Agree with that, oil need not be at $100 for VET to hit $30. It is already performing very well. I can't wait to see the energy sector earnings for last quarter... that will be highly rewarding IMAO.

Europe is not going to just sit in the dark just like they were not going to allow energy companies to charge them 500% for their own resources.  They would nationalize their resources and grids in a heartbeat as most of these European nations are already socialist democracies. Just being pragmatic shutting in production doesn't help revenue or cash flow.  VET's making good ...more
