Undervalued

So here we are , goofball teachers in BC that do not want anything to do with the oil industry and there is a push to get rid of these dirty type assets in their pension. Ok , so we are working to make it cleaner and we all know without this industry we will all be driving to work in a flinstones car or at least some of us.

Now regarding CPG ,
we are trying to get to 1.3 -1.4 billion in debt before the company starts increasing dividends . I was told that we are ahead of schedule by 1-2 months. CPG also increased the buy back by $50 mill re the talk of the last financials. This stock just seems to stay flat when all the information we are seeing is pointing to absolutely stupid profitability !! Why ? Climate change issue ? Or is this the continuation of the bull market that is just taking a pause ? CPG has had a lot of losses to the tune of approximately 10 Billion. Now is this quote correct ? Help on this one as the tax implication is significant. All I know is that if the company stays the way it is now , we will retire our debt to about 600 mill by year end and increase the dividend to at least .02 cents per share per month which is a cost of approx $135 mill per year and pay NO Tax. Another thing , cash is king and I really dont like us buying back shares and rather see us use that money towards R&D or developing other wells or ... anyway something else. What do you guys think ? I really do see something special in the next 9 months for this company. Who knows , maybe another acquisition? Glta !

Show me the money!!!  1. Increase the dividend to monthly after debt is equal to excess free cash flow 2. Prices are quite high this quarter but how much have costs gone up? 3. We are getting no capital appreciation or even dividends compared to other investments, so show me the money and the stock will go up. P.S. I micro mange my money and have been quite successfuk. I would have borrowed ...more

They have so more wells they could drill in what they already have in Kaybob.  Capex will be spent expanding there.  I wouldn't anticipate another aquistion.

I wasn't suggesting an acquisition but more of an addition to acreage held.. key locations might be wise to pick up, as opposed to the whole disposition offered..?

They have 46,750kbd hedged throughout 2022 using swaps and collars. Looks like the price range is between $60-80USD/barrel for these hedges. Would you call that good hedging with oil $100usd plus/barrel? Hedging has been holding this company back for the last 7 years. Imo it's the main reason it currently trades and will continue to trade at a discount to its peers. With the exception of early ...more
