Quiet talk

Hey Packer, considering you seem to be aligned with liberal/ndp, are you hearing the same quiet rumours that I'm hearing?

Quiet talk is that the recent change in capital gains taxation is just the start. Apparently there's a slew of other investment "reforms" being discussed and planned. Essentially they intend to further change the tax ruiles to what amounts to taking a stick to anyone that invests in resources or fossil fuel companies in Canada. The objective is to drive as many retail investors and funds away from the Canadian resource sector.  They believe this is the best way to cause the least amount of harm as it gives investors an exit window and a nudge towards 'government approved' investiments.

We're living in crazy times... just when I thought the liberal proposals to tax sugar and gains on principle residences was the height of stupidity.
