Q4 looks good

Top line is really good, 112.6 M (high estimate was 105 M)
EPS of 0.07 (average estimate was 0.02 and high estimate 0.09)

Spark revenue increased 81% (That's good, better than the 50 % Eric said last quarter, but quite easy to beat considering it was only 6.5 M last year)

I'm quite happy with those results ! Last time I was happy it went down hard lol let's hope this time it goes up !!

The guidance for 2022 is a big improvement on this year too "we expect revenue of approximately $480.0 million to $500.0 million and adjusted EBITDA between $87.0 million to $93.0 million in Fiscal 2022"
Comment by Nedward on Sep 14, 2021 6:47pm
Yes ! I was just going to send something about that. They are good but still conservative I think.

Damn ... Q4 2021 views were 6.6 bilion vs 11.6 bilion in Q4 2020. Quite a big drop. Obviously it is because of COVID, but is crazy that they did 81 % increase in sales while being down like 40 % in views.
Comment by Andrew1111 on Sep 14, 2021 6:59pm
Yeah, the drop in views doesn't translate into less money. Plus, the views are still impressive and I believe they're going up compared to pre covid

Net leverage ratio was 5.94 in Q3 2021 it is now 5.71 in Q4 2021. Quite a good improvement.

I like seeing the 7.3% CAGR on revenue over 3 years based on the mid point of the guidance -- start of a very healthy trend. If they keep up the growth rate for 2022 to the mid point of the guidance (8.2% between 2021 to 2022) they'll be at >620M in rev by 2025... if they continue to accelerate growth, sky is the limit

A bit conservative, i guess. look at their consumer products. Peanuts is growing like crazy. 2022 will have more peanuts content on Apple and Sonic on Netflix too.

Analysts have not changed their targets, likely only because they are waiting till the investor day on Oct. 5th in NYC (wait - they're not even listed in the US..hmmmnn) to come out with thoughtful pieces.  That's when we'll see the real bump.  Mgmt is clearly ramping up its market exposure:  two great releases just pre-earnings, great earnings, initiated guidance ...more
Comment by Andrew1111 on Sep 15, 2021 9:53am
The analysts are meeting with management today at 10AM EST. Some will release ratings on it today after that meeting
Comment by Pirmin on Sep 15, 2021 10:36am
Mgmt is sounding very bullish and very confident
Comment by wagyusteak on Sep 15, 2021 11:29am
Not too many analysts participated in the call. Probably they are waiting for the analyst's day
Comment by Nedward on Sep 16, 2021 8:45am
Have there been increases in the price target since yesterday ?
Comment by Pirmin on Sep 16, 2021 9:24am
Cormark's McFadgen, who has been a bear, just increased target to $3.30

Cool, thanks! Pretty sure there'll be another round of upgrades after the investor day event. Plus Q1 will be in about two months, sounds like it'll be a good one too. I think Ellenbogen will be getting that $5 stock bonus pretty soon.
Comment by wagyusteak on Sep 14, 2021 7:25pm
Look at the view per minute. it's going up which says that kids like Spark's channel and spend more there than other channels.
Comment by wagyusteak on Sep 14, 2021 7:29pm
Q1 2022 guidance for Spark is growing at least 60%. LOL
Comment by Nedward on Sep 14, 2021 8:25pm
What are your expectations for tomorrow ?
Comment by wagyusteak on Sep 14, 2021 8:30pm
  up 20%?
Comment by bigbaddude on Sep 14, 2021 8:33pm
it sometimes takes 2 days, but I'd expect $3.30 or more by end of day Thursday.
