ATB CAPITAL markets
Okay I'm sure everyone hear read the article about willow in proactive . It just came out recently August 8th 2021. I will quote it as I find it very encouraging. ..................................................... ATB Capital Markets has a Speculative Buy rating on Willows shares and a 12-month price target of C$2.75. Considering Willows large potential addressable market and its steady progress towards commercialization in 2021, we believe the company is trading at an attractive valuation, analyst David Kideckel wrote in July. "We view Willow to be a potential acquisition target for companies looking to develop cannabinoids through biosynthesis, given Willows scientific progress to date, its managements expertise, and its strong intellectual property with multiple patent applications covering more than 200 novel genes to increase cannabinoid production. ........ Okay so it's true they said a year ago that Willow could be an acquisition target. But the fact that a year later they are restating they still feel this is encouraging. They have another year of seeing what Willow has done. And if it wasn't impressive they could just never repeat this statement. But they chose to emphasize again it is a potential acquisition target. That is so exciting. Has anyone been a substantial owner of shares during a hostile takeover of a company? I have once. It is totally exciting. It was a gold company in Africa at the time that gold first made it to 1900 US an ounce. At the time many thought hold could go to 30000 US. And labour was still really cheap then so this mine at this moment in time was viewed extremely attractive. Management and insiders only owned 22% of company. So another gold mine or someone was buying shares like crazy. Buy they only need 51% to own the mine. And management didn't want it to be bought out. So it was like a hostile takeover. Before anyone really realized what was going on, the takeover group had already gotten a huge amount. And they just needed a relatively small amount. And these last 10 percent tbey needed they paid a stinking premium for these shares. I remember regretting that I didn't hold on longer. .......... Well management of Willow only own 31% I believe. So if someone attempted a takeover they need 51% of shares. And likely they could a large number under 2 dollars but who knows how high the price will go to get the last 5% they need. I've heard of management and insiders scrambling to buy so that their company isn't taken away from them. For owners of 51% could hold a meeting to vote for all new directors and vote Trevor and Troy right out if they wanted. So a hostile takeover is way more exciting than the best roller coaster ride in the world. Wow what a rush. Here's hoping we all end up experiencing this with Willow as it becomes enormously attractive to a large pharmaceutical company.
