Great highlighting MMC's partnerships with Rio at Escondida, and FCX at Grasberg, not to say FCX gets involved here, but to again highlight we can produce Copper/Gold concentrate without having to wait for a Gold Major, necessarily. His highlighting NEM's increased bid for Newcrest again tells me NEM is not coming, content with increaed copper exposure from existing

Paul, speaking in: 2019 - "This deposit belongs with a COPPER major" 2021- "Our share price responds to movement in COPPER price" 2023 - "I've signed recent non-disclosures with two of the top 10 COPPER producers" Right? Glad to be proven wrong, but I think we're well past time where any of the surrounding gold majors would have gotten involved.

Two figures to keep in mind here:  2,500 & 21mm I don't think at $2,500 gold with 21mm ounces, the gold majors wouldn't be interested.  We have one of the largest stores of gold on planet earth. Let NEM chase Newcrest if they want.  We aren't going anywhere. Even if NEM doesn't end up with Casino, an ounce of gold is an ounce of gold regardless of whose hand

Yep - and an ounce of gold is an ounce of gold to Newmont, Barrick ....just like it is for RIo, BHP, etc. BHP CEO highlight in Jan 2023 news release.... "...while Olympic Dam’s ongoing smelter performance saw near-record material processing and record gold production."  Do we really think Rio, BHP or other Copper majors couldn't handle or want the gold at Casino?

Hi Sooner, I agree with your sentiments that an ounce is an ounce regardless of owner.  However, RIO (other than 8% of WRN) has no meaningful investment in the Yukon, correct?  NEM is the one who stands to benefit above and beyond any NPV profile from Casino due to economies of scale between Coffee and Casino. Aaah......putting that ol' econ vocabulary I learned years ago to work

Maybe...then again maybe they punt on Coffee and that end up selling to someone else... anyone who is shelling out $20B for Newcrest (or trying to)...will be in no position to deal with Casino for several years IMO. Coffee might not be in their long term strategy....and i hope we aren't still waiting on them until they get the integration with Newcrest wrapped up! surely Rio, BHP, and the
