SHUTDOWN

Western Potash shutdown all operations, and closed off the caverns. Extremely high employee turnover since last summer, the remaining employees were laid off. The finacial institutes will salvage what they can from site. Construction trailers to be removed this summer.

The stock closed today at 9 cents during trading hours.

Hopefully a new company can aquire the assets and attempt a new approach. The future is uncertain of the mine site.

Very sad news, if it is all true. They hired the "best experts", all the old "potash solution mining experts" and got bad advice. Paid them well. But I have been trying to point out, the ideas they are promoting are wrong, now proven wrong. There is a simple way to make this work.  It would eliminate the pond, the dredge, the submerged combustion units and a lot of the ...more
