Cryptocurrency for Goldmoney/BitGold!

Goldmoney sounds like it’s a cryptocurrency backed by physical gold.  If so, this would be a fantastic idea!

With the exponential growth of the cryptocurrency market, is the company Goldmoney considering this idea?

If so, their name/trademarks Goldmoney and BitGold are great!

Anybody have thoughts on this?

Goldmoney had the software and capability to do this in 2015 but Roy stated at an AGM I attended once he wouldn't do it because he didn't know how Governments would react and he had a duty to protect and safely store his clients' assets.

Roy has disappointed a very large passionate group of ...more

Well, a cryptocurrency backed by gold was then, and still is now, the right strategy! The sooner the company Goldmoney can revive and implement that strategy, the sooner it will achieve greatness. A rebranding is certainly an option although the names Goldmoney and BitGold do have lots of appeal from a marketing perspective for a cryptocurrency.  The name BitGold in particular because of ...more

I'm hoping that the failure to move forward with past crypto plans was due to regulatory issues from Jersey.. Roy used to be very ambitious and focused on growth then he just went silent.. back in the day he traveled around and did town halls and conference calls and really was into building something big.. if he has just tapped out I would suggest it's time for a new CEO.. time will tell
