Evolv versus Xtract technologies

Hi,

Anybody knows how Evolv and Xtract technology differs and if limitations exist as to Evolv tech so they can or cannot do something similar to the new Xtract offering ?
So basically, did they offer eXpedition as a work around because they could not do the medium-clutter environments or is it only a stop gap pending the release of a new product that could do something similar to Gateway.
Waiting for that Evans webinar next week to shed more light on this new product, but in the mean time, have been adding up.

It sure seems that it might do the same but with all the negatives discussed. Waiting also for peeter to tell more. Now, X1 cant hide in the bushes anylonger. This (gateway) needs to be brought into attention of every single school. Every new school customer must choose us, if not, I would like to know why. Of course, Gateway appears like the best solution.    I only wonder why Evolv chose that path and how many months/years of advance does Xtact now have on them before Evolv can come up with the same type of product.    Anyway, exciting times to be a Xtract shareholder.  And one understand that spring raise given the context.   A pity they did not launch this ...more

Yup. Hopefully we get some answers but indeed it seems like we were far ahead of them in r&d. Also it seems like this was rushed add on to sit nexto existing product but then again I dont think that machine was build in one day , figuratively speeking. I was also thinking the timeline and its pity we missed the new school year but then again budgets are now made for next year so we gotta be on ...more

If Evolv chose to build a separate machine because their tech can not integrate it to Express, I would infer that we now have a moat which gives us a long window of opportunity.

The limitations I see for evolv are: Have had difficulties detecting all knives  Too many false alarms Have had to add a cumbersome xray machine to scan bags etc  This causes more expense, probably less friendly for customer access as it won't be just a straight walk through.  They have lawsuits against them for misleading the capabilities of their product. Seems like if ...more

And how big a factor is it that Evolv is 100% American and Xtract 1 has a Canadian tinge to it?

Blackberry went ok with that..... until they messed it up. Point taken though Pandora, our exchange is not kind to us obviously....   We need nasdaq but our requirements are not met yet. I've posted the requirements before, won't repost. Glta longs, g
