Tax loss selling maybe from a junior stock fund?  If so, they don't know how to dispose of shares in a junior explorer without losing money by not dumping all at once.  That is why I would never invest in one.

I seem to recall the same thing happening the day after U.S. Thanksgiving a few years ago in another stock.  In that case however the seller literally did not put a limit price on the trade, and it was over before anyone could react.   The stock took four months to recover.  I just put in a .025 bid in case of a before market close dump
