Geologist: G Bennett
Notes: The mineralized portion of the vein system has a known strike length of 4200 feet; the width ranges from 1 to 30 feet, and averages 6.5 feet. It has been explored by drilling to a depth of 1000 feet, although most of the drilling has been confined to depths of 500 feet or less. Drilling results show that copper mineralization is confined to a number of lenses within the vein system. To a depth of 1000 feet, total reserves, including 10 % allowance for dilution, are stated to be 415 000 tons, grading 1.8% Cu, over an average width of 6.5 feet (Northern Miner, May 27, 1965).

Exploration History
1942 Sampling and geol. report by Erie Canadian Mines Ltd. 1958-1960: 75 d.d. holes totalling 30,133 feet by Andover Canadian Mines Ltd. These drill records are fairly complete and are incorporated as a part of the company records of Crownbridge Copper Mines Ltd. From these records D.C. Mckechnie, P.Eng, Sudbury, Onatrio, estimated drill indicated ore reserves of 190 000 tons grading 2.01% copper across and average width of 6.1 feet above the 500 foot horizon in the Central, West, and J zones. Since then the Crownbridge company has drilled some ten additional holes totalling about 6800 linear feet. The drilling was done to the east of the central zone. 1963-1965: 46 d.d. holes totalling 26,867 feet plus further drilling for which records are not available by Crownbridge Copper Mines Ltd. 1966-1967: 250 ton per day mill constructed on property by Copper Concentrators Ltd., for custom milling of material from this and other nearby deposits. copper Concentrators declared bankruptcy in 1967. Crownbridge sank a 30 foot deep shaft. 1968: Property purchased by Cannon Mines Ltd.
