Rates in Canada will come down at next meeting of the BOC, 50 to 75 Bps by end of year, 125 bps more in 25.   Faster if Trump gets in, puts the tariffs in place that he is talking ... Canada has had a soft takeoff, but driven much by strength in exports and net increases in migration/labor force.   US rate behavior similar.    All barring an unforseen credit or ...more

Rates will come down this summer most likely now a couple of qtr point cuts most assuredly in the face of data dependency abandonment. The forward leaning markets currently bolstered by the Fed's so-called data dependant pivot back in the 4th qtr to lower rates, is running short on ground space to prop up Biden's flagging ratings in time before the Nov. election. The markets anticipate ...more

Now I know for a fact that you're  off base on your info... "The debt is fiscally responsible...." You are so effed in the head...totally full of it. Oh yes...adding a trillion $ in interest every 100 days is totally sustainable! Keep smoking that stuff. You, Larry and CSK are out of the same full of chit camp. https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/bonds/us-debt-interest ...more

I actually hope you are right L&S because my life and others will be so much better if that were true. This Gold stuff as much as I enjoy it is merely an exciting sideplay that will yield a beneftit if Gold continues to maintain strength and/or a buyer comes along with deep pockets. In the big picture 3k Gold paints a bleak picture for all of us in the overall dynamic. It doesn't hurt to ...more

You can imagine inflation away and big drops in the POG all you want won't make a bit of difference. "Rates in Canada will come down at next meeting of the BOC, 50 to 75 Bps by end of year, 125 bps more in 25." So you say - well maybe. This is pure mainstream Fed-spin parroted by political hacks at any rate. You shallow thinkers have no clue what you are talking about as usual ...more

Except that everything that I've predicted here over the last 4 + years has happened.   Ironically, my past-bashed predictions have become the neo-narrative of the (perhaps paid) pumper crew here.   They hate us, cuz they ain't us. Lol.   Just out of curiosity, market fails, gold roars, rates spike, yields invert, etc...  where do the majors get the $BB ...more

It's true that in AK47 jurisdictions a mine can up and running in 2 years vs here in the land of the previously free where it's 10 to 15 years , however Freeport Newmont and Barrick still need copper and gold  can't just pickup your ball and go home
