Shorted ARTG today at $5.07

Easy money.

LOL.  Shorting what is probably THE best gold mining project on the planet?  Trading at 1/3rd NPV? With gold near $2000?  A #1 takeover target with large insider recent buying?   LOL!
Comment by UGMineEngineer on Jul 14, 2023 10:48am
Maybe because the out of control wildfire on their property? If wildfire season lasts even another months or two, that could seriously delay the project which already has a lot of debt. Every day they are evacuated from site is a massive burn rate on overhead costs. https://wildfiresituation.nrs.gov.bc.ca/incidents?fireYear=2023&incidentNumber=G41493

A 2 month delay on a 22 year life mine will mean nothing.  Might you scalp a quarter or fifty cents?  Maybe but solid companies are not good short targets.  You short junk not gems

Fire is out, not a concern, not impacting anything, back to work!  Go read the press release. Happy short covering!

Fire is not out, DYODD https://wildfiresituation.nrs.gov.bc.ca/incidents?fireYear=2023&incidentNumber=G41493

There is NO fire on the Blackwater mine site.  So it's out. That doesn't imply that there aren't other fires in BC but the press release was clear.  No effect. The giant red blobs from NASA and the crappy maps from the BC map tell you nothing about any risk to the property. And 2 day old data is worthless
Comment by goldstd69 on Jul 17, 2023 3:55pm
The fire is not out....there is a fire...the statement by Artemis was that so far there was no significant effect to the property...so that is good news....and from the statement released today it seems that Artemis has avoided the worst of the fire...good for Artemis so they can proceed and soon next year have a mine and be taken over....imho
Comment by rdy2rumble on Jul 17, 2023 8:33pm
Fire has basically past them by is a better discription.. They lost a cell tower which is being worked on to be replaced.. they'll maybe need to cut a few trees off the road as a result of damaged tree roots.. Basically good to go now,, fire is still moving east away from their site now
Comment by metalhead666 on Jul 17, 2023 9:41pm
Excellent news. Thanks!  Hopefully all the fires will burn out soon
Comment by metalhead666 on Jul 17, 2023 9:43pm
Not a better takeover target on the continent.  Someone will make a run for them maybe sooner than most think.

Happy short covering!

Thought it was a good short price at $5.07.  Even better short price yesterday at $5.60.  I don't see anything that warrants the recent price spike. Still a long way to go before any meaningful production.
Comment by PianoMan on Jul 24, 2023 8:50pm
What we don't see is often scary ...for shorters ask the Sabina shorters when it moved for no reason "I don't see anything that warrants the recent price spike. "
Comment by Angelique01 on Jul 29, 2023 2:50pm
So a profitable trade last week.   Initial short at $5.07 followed by quadrupling of short position at $5.60. Covered both short positions at $5.01.   Easy Peasy!.  The technical strategy of shorting these parabolic increases in share price is money in the bank.  In terms of going long on ARTG I will pass as I prefer other opportunities.Didn't like the project ...more

I am buying the corrections.  Good luck shorting.  Who knows.
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Jul 25, 2023 1:51pm
As of today, you would've been much better off shorting IAU. ARTG: July 13 close: 5.11 Currently trading at 5.32. IAU: July 13 close: 2.98 Currently trading at 2.69 In my view, IAU is a potential money trap - they're going to need to spend a lot of cash if they end up pouring gold at any of their new project sites. If they sell the company before that, the buyer will consider how much ...more

Who is nuts enough to short a stock that moves on no news, obviously behind the scene activities. ARTG will need to come  out clean at some point though. Or do we witness a re-rating?
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Jul 25, 2023 9:08pm
I think ARTG will be doing more equity raises in the future given their dated September 2021 Feasibility study along with the share-dilution overhang of thenow 26M outstanding warrants remaining at what I suspect are still at a strike price of 1.08 (which they removed from their share structure page for some reason. If a recession hits and indescriminately takes down the share prices of stocks ...more

Warrants are still there. Look again.
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Jul 26, 2023 9:20am
Referrring to the strike price, not the number outstanding. They showed the 1.08 strike price before. Why not now?

Why don't you email and ask them instead of sounding so mysterious
Comment by metalhead666 on Jul 26, 2023 3:58pm
It's fully funded with an over budget allowance built in.
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Jul 26, 2023 6:51pm
If ARTG is confident the Blackwater project is "fully funded" with a contingency fund already built in: 1) Why did the company issue a Short Form Base Shelf Prospectus on March 3 (go to SEDAR to find it) which will provide ARTG with the option to issue more common shares, warrants, subscription receipts, or debt securities if the company so desires? 2) Even if you consider 1) to be a ...more

Lots of companies file shelf share plans. Doesn't in any way mean that they're going to tap it. The additional costs you speak of was to build out so that phase 2 can be implimented sooner...that's a good thing.  Even if they did need to raise a bit more so what? They'll have less than 300 million shares outstanding even with all the warrants being exercised. How many 400k ...more

You do realize that insiders own 40% or so of the company don't you?  Do you think they're going to make two market buys last week of significant shares only to go and dilute themselves and smack down their recent purchases?  I don't think so
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Jul 27, 2023 2:56am
1) You stated in your previous post that the project is fully funded. That's what I was responding to. After I pointed out how that may prove to be false, you now say it may indeed cost more to complete. 2) Steven Dean also purchased over 300,000 ARTG shares over 2 years ago (May 25, 2021) at 6.10 per share (see SEDI)..  Jeremy Langford did the same thing at the time: 327,900 shares at ...more

You win nothing.  This is not 2 years ago. ARTG is nearing completion with an updated FS due soon. Both insiders bought more shares last week with the most up to date information possible. Do you think they don't know what the final tab is now?  I think they do

What is the online source for your statement that ARTG will produce an updated Feasibility Study?

So, the only reference you have for you claims is the ARTG press release dated June 15, 2023. No mention of an updated Feasibility Study in this press release, never mind a release date for it. "Fully Funded"? Quotes from the press release: "With the commitment of the additional US$40 million funding under the Gold Stream, the optimized initial capital for Phase 1 construction ...more

They don't need an updated full FS as the mine is now 20% complete and they have the funds to finish it....duh.  In 1 year we'll be mining and pouring gold so what use is a full FS now?  None. The update optimization will be more telling as to eventual profitabliity which ...since it's designed to "optimize" will be better not worse.
Comment by AlwaysLong683 on Jul 28, 2023 6:51am
No offense, but you seem like a very confused individual who can't remember his previous comments and keeps changing his story with each subsequent post.

I'm not confused at all...."fully funded" "updated optimization study next qtr"......have a nice day.

Can you please tell us in which area you think the upward revisions are likely to occur.
