EIA

Well this is certainly great news.  This is certainly what we've been in dire need of.  The way Tim spoke at the start of the year, the upcoming submission is supposed to be very rubber-stampy, so we should have our licence in a couple of months.  I won't be holding my breath though, but expect we've gotten back on track and hopefully better days ahead.
It does make me wonder why they announce this a day before Warrant redemption deadline tomorrow??  Well, it actually makes me think they used to quasi-new to push the Warrant holders in that were sitting on the fence.
Oh well, things have always been a bit shady around here. We do what we need to do to keep advancing.  Tim isn't going to get any awards for his progress, but he just might retire a wealthy man if he can gather some momentum now.  Go Tim Go!!!

Could I get an explanation as to why this is good news ? Of course an  environmental assessment would be needed for any type of mining done in Serbia  ? Trying to see the positive spin on this but can't find it .

'Ministry of Environmental Protection has reached a decision that an environmental impact assessment study (EIA) will be required for the Piskanja project, as well as having determined the scope of the required EIA. In preparation for this decision, the company had previously retained the services of the Mining Institute of Belgrade to prepare an EIA.' the environmental ministry decision ...more

Lanagold, Mgmt was aware that it had to be done and they had a Contractor working on it is my understanding from the Mining Institute of Serbia. The documentation and permits that the company is obligated to submit to the Serbian Mining Ministry in order to receive an "approval for the exploitation field" include the CoR, a Serbian-compliant feasibility study, a synopsis of an ...more

You are correct that all Part 2 documentation is ready to be submitted apart from the permit of the Environment Ministry. However the NR does not state that a contractor has been working on the EIA it states that "the Company has retained the services of the Mining Institute of Belgrade to prepare an EIA.".  Anyway, the EIA does not have to be completed before Part 3 documents are ...more

If I understand correctly, one of the submission pieces for this second step towards mining licence is the forthcoming document outlining the EIA main criteria, or I guess the work to be done. we can now(shortly) submit the documents and get the mining licence.  (Or the second step.  I believe we would technically have a mining licence, but need the 3rd step to actually mine.)    ...more

Like Myrty outlined, BONE could not submit the application for the exploitation field until they had the input of the Ministry of the Environment.  This document will outline exactly what needs to be done for the EIA. SO, there's no roadblo
