Wow only 600KM away from where Bowood is drilling.  Does Wabamun really have that much to do with the Bakken??

Poise, now I see why some of your posts are removed. This well is anot anywhere near BWD assets in the Alberta Bakken!
Comment by Bob56 on Mar 02, 2011 5:26pm
The extremely wealthy & connected core group that introduced me to BWD have never been more upbeat about the potential of this play, for a number of reasons, a few of which cannot be disclosed. Some points from my DD:- The London presentation offered a few vital clues as to where this is all going.  - Oil is at and will likely trade above $100 now and looks like this isn't changing ...more

The Wabamun is the Bakken in Alberta.  Each province/State has its own Geological formation nomenclature.I only report the facts.  This is a Bakken well.  I still have a strong position in BWD.  The hits and dry wells tell us the trending pattern of effective areas in Alberta.  That is how the SE Sask Bakken was determined.  There are sweet spots and dud areas in Sask ...more

Hey Bob, don't you mean Rosetta and Newfield, not Brigham?  If not, you should talk to your friends again. That dry SCL well is a big surprise and big disappointment - wonder if the HZTL leg missed target.
Comment by Bob56 on Mar 02, 2011 6:40pm
Rosetta and Newfield as well, yes.  Brigham was mentioned more, and I should have clarified, points were written in haste, to illustrate the potential of a Bakken company south of us that went through the stratosphere.Poise, or anyone for that matter, how close is the SCL well to our lands? Not too long ago, Poise posted that Bowood et al Armada 2-1-17-19W4M hit oil in the Mississippian zone.& ...more

Natureboy, your dramatic post implies that there was alot riding on the SCL well.Do say more.  Where it is relative to our lands and the overall Alberta Bakken formation would be a start.

"Not too long ago, Poise posted that Bowood et al Armada 2-1-17-19W4M hit oil in the Mississippian zone."The Mississippian is not the Bakken.  Its an entirely different beast.   "Don't have the post numbers at the moment, but others who have followed this play and RYD will recall incidents where Poise's hard facts came out soft. "I only reported the ...more

Now you have done a bit more than state facts and that is good, because when you add commentary and connect the dots. it helpsthe readers of the information understand the connections and it also makes it much harder to have the posts deleted. FYI, I sent an e-mail to SH asking them to re-instate your posts. Inbox me the last two (CPG and Nexen) which were deleted ((if you kept copies) and I ...more

It could be natureboy on the negative side too! C'est la vie.

Why would you have posts removed?  That is the most assinine thing I have ever heard of on these boards.  Who are you?  GOD?It reflects even worse on SH for having accepted your request. So much for freedom of speech.
Comment by natureboy16 on Mar 03, 2011 9:40am
Reply to Bob.The Armada well will likely be about a 20 to 30 bbl per day start.  Not a lot, but they are cheap to punch down.  There should be some follow up locations too.  Very profitable little play, but nothing at all to do with the bakken unless they find some stratigraphic traps holding migrated bakken oil.  Lots of questions on that score - don't hold your breath ...more
