Phase Array Antenna info not released as a press release...
Referring to my previous post, I went back to read the press release and I see that the news of the new phased array antenna being displayed at a US satellite conference and there was no release on the site.
I received it because I signed up to receive updates from the company. For those who haven't seen I will past it below. I assume a press release will go out. In my opinion, this is some of the most significant news that C-COM has has in its entire existence.
The phased array antenna is a transformational product for many of C-COMs existing products but opens up massive new global (including consumer markets via StarLink / Kupier).
The companies addressable market opportunity goes from somewhat niche military / commercial applications to a global market of ALL satellite users. I believe that as the product continues its' development that is has huge potential in the transportation market (eg a Phased array antenna in every car / truck to offer high speed internet / data services to moving vehicles / cars).
There is a very real potential, over time, for CMI to see their revenues go from 10s of millions to hundreds of millions. The new antenna is manufactured using traditional printed circuit board processes which are abundant and inexpensive which should allow CMI to scale up production and sales extremely quickly. I would also expect the product to have superior gross margins.
As I mentioned before, I believe this antenna has the potential to earn CMI a billion dollar valuation and I expect the company to be sold at some point along this re-valuation cycle.
