You're welcome reddog. You can see where this is going now. First GM, then Honda, todayLG/Sellantis and now CATL. All the signs were pointing to 2025/26 production start ups.  The reality is hitting that CNC nickel will be in high demand as the automakers need to secure that supply in order to justify committing that kind of cash,  I doubt CATL be allowed to set up shop in Canada ...more

If CATL sets up in Mexico, where will they get the nickel from? Doesn't the nickel degrade during travel? Also, they will have to ship the finished batteries to the car manufacturers which are (mostly) located in the Michigan area. I think the batteries don't travel well either.
