Someone was posting that China had backed off on nickel. I'm not sure where one would get that incorrect info inlight of Indonesia story of massive panic to build HPAL.  Nickel demand in China picks up Demand for nickel products in China has picked up, according to recent reports, and continues to meet tight supply on the supply side. Good article, reminds us that low grade nickel is going the way copper did 20 years ago when low grade copper suddenly got profitable with new tech pushed via declining resources. Prices for both have to pop at sometime this year and not look back.

Really Endzone? Here is academic article two since you seem to like research papers. "Low-Grade Nickel Sulphide Resource Opportunities: An Australian Perspective," by D. Kerr, et al. This article provides an overview of the low-grade nickel sulphide resources in Australia, including the challenges experienced and feasibility. Anything you disagree with this?  Specifics please.
