If I recall you're from the Timmins area. Is there anyone resistance from any of the locals when it comes to the build of this mine or are you finding the majority are supportive?

From what I hear Apapas....it is more like the locals are just not much aware. Too many projects being promoted all the time  creates an air of indifference or incredulity maybe? Things will change in time I hope. Glta

That shouldn't be the case Craving. A project like this should be front and center. It'll have a major impact on the city of Timmins (increased jobs, infrastructure improvements, etc) especially if we become the largest base metals mine in Canada and possibly the world. I suspect there is some Resistance. I just wanted to know how much. I'm going to try and take a visit up this summer.

No resistance as far as I know...only indifference. Same as the general market towards Cnc.  I think it is just still a bit too early. But things are and will heat up. Imho

I have friends and business acquaintances in and around Timmins. I'm in Southern Ontario though. I was up there last year. My friends there are all shareholders as well. From what I experienced then and continue to hear now is the hopes are strong for the development of this mine and others as well. It will be great for Timmins generational families and all  around.  I didn't

Find it hard to believe the locals are unaware. It's the biggest project that will influence the entire city for decades and pour millions into the economy. No other local company is shown meeting with Ford, Pirie etc and a third of the way through permitting with a major strategic on board. That's big news in a small town.

Don't get me wrong guys. I am all in Cnc and I'm sure all of those who know about the project are all for it also. What I am trying to say is Timmins is a very busy mining area. Years ago it was all  about the Ring of Fire , then there was the moving of the met site  then the forecasted closure of the biggest mine employer (Kidd) every couple of years , the Detour lake discovery

Accepting the terms of reference for the environmental assessment is a step but it's a long way off.

I also know a community business leader there who is a shareholders. The business community is aware of the opportunity and is supportive given the existing mine Kid Creek  is entering the possible last years of production? Gven the depths they are at. It's the deepest mine in the world . Ore is not the problem. I am told by my geologists friend it's 30c down there and the workers

apapas , born and raised and a heavy investor in this company as so are many in the Timmins area...The talk is in the coffee shops the hockey rinks and the golf course ..as some mention here the minesite is coming to an end but Timmins will welcome a nickel district as a new beginning to support the community for the next 100 years...Timmins at present is seeing new blood from Iam gold employees

Thanks for the excellent info guys. Timmins is truly a hot bed of mining projects. Looks like we're trying to break that $1.60 thing this morning. Fingers crossed.

Everything you said is pretty much bang on.Im from timmins also and hear talk about the mining and canada nickel has alot going on from what I hear.Im not invested in cnc but I drive by there entrance of hwy 655  twice a week and see truck's and choppers on there property all the time so ya lots of action going on in that neck of the woods and that's a given for sure...Let's go
