Our Covid tests are soon to be obsolete

In the near future, you won't be able to give our Covid tests away.

Even if these are appproved, Datametrex will add them to their portfolio and re-sell them just as they are doing with the current tests. Not a problem.

Hope you're right. If these new breathalyzer tests with instant results work as advertised, and can be brought out in large numbers in 1H2021, plus the mRNA vaccines that the FDA is about to approve get widely distributed...there's actually a decent chance we could get society back to normal by summer. What an achievement that would be!

And in dealing with a regulator like the FDA it is probably an oxymoron to use the term "in the near future".

Well this is one FDA approval I hope they take all the time they need and hold off until at least Q2 to approve. If DM is aware of this I hope they get in line to recieve approval to sell the device once it's ready....the line will be long is my guess, dam you technology haha

Really ?? I do recall SONA putting forth their results and of course the rest is history !! Once it goes through a rigorous unbias testing by FDA and other countries health authorities the technology may not be as good as the claims made by the creators . By the time it gets approved by HC we will be dealing with COVID - 22 . Will it work for all strains ?? What about if a person is at a certain ...more

I do find it amazing that breathalyzer testing has been around for years and it is being used for such notorious things as alcohol and weed but now that we have a virus that for ten months they have been telling us it is "air borne" and effectively is being passed by people breathing, coughing and sneezing on each other. They tell us the greatest thing ever invented to beat this pandemic ...more

I believe what I have read is that the virus for sure spreads through larger droplets and not as much through breathing so a breath analysis would not be an accurate way of detecting the virus but the nasal swab will be out done by a saliva swab with they do now.

So if ordinary breathing is out of the picture and "larger droplets" are the concern, presumably those are only triggered by coughing or sneezing then? If so, why would we need a national mask mandate to cover any possible cough or sneeze event and not just ordinary breathing in and out. I find it tough to believe that this rapid transmission is all caused by coughing and sneezing. ...more

I didn't say you can't get it from someone breathing on you , just that it not as likely as someone sneezing or coughing on you.

This whole COVID thing is not that hard to figure out , its not the people catching it going shopping and places like that if they are wearing masks and not talking a lot to other people , its the ten to twenty percent that will go meet a friend for a beer or coffee for instance and they are not wearing masks or small gatherings at someones house and someone will pick it up from these kind of ...more
