Uncertain Thoughts on DME

Firstly, I want to say that I am down well over 80% on DME stock that I accumulated over quite a while. I have watched with angst as the stock price cratered in the wake of DME's then incomprehensible announcement that AZ operations would not be happening anytime soon (though we all were waiting for an imminent announcement on initial helium sales and real production numbers). Even now, an update regarding efforts/production at the new project in NM seems very concerningly overdue. The market now prices DME in a punitive (and seemingly deserved) valuation range reserved for the most speculative "stocks" that are tied to little more than dreams, their promoters hot air, and endless dilution to raise money anytime it is possible. Maybe that is just what DME is (or maybe it is run by good meaning people who just don't know what they are doing), but then again maybe not. Maybe last year really was just a string of misfortune. Maybe this NM project really is a diamond in the rough that is taking a little extra time to pull together. Maybe there is a real and profitable business (and not a just a scam) in the works here. Maybe those wells and rights in AZ really do have significant value that can finally be realized with a pro-business/Republican governor takes over again in AZ. Maybe DME will someday announce some other unexpected but impressive find in one these other "jurisdictions" that have been mentioned in the past. Maybe. Is this wishful thinking?  Sure. As has been rightly said here recently, "Fool me once...". But all too often I find that truth often lies somewhere in the middle. Perhaps just as I look back now and wish that I had sold when I could at -US$4 and things seemed so bright, perhaps in the future I will look back and wish I would have bought more now when things seem so terribly dim. I sure wish I knew for sure.

HH, I hear you. I did sell when it was high but bought back in at 1.17. Them the breaks. I find everything they did to be as dishonest as can be. Management used the positive energy they built with investors and then dropped the ball over and over again. Now three months later not a word from the idiots at the top. Time to move on for me.

Perfectly reasonable sentiments. You were clearly right in your earlier sale call, and perhaps you are right in selling here too. Not a lot of reason to have confidence here right now. It is certainly management's job to understand and plan for uncertainties/risks that could occur - and at a minimum here, management did not have a plan that sufficiently accounted for these as it raised and ...more

It's telling that there hasn't been any insider buying at these prices. Guess they think this is a reasonable valuation even though you have to go back to 2020 for a lower sp.

Guess they can't trade at all right now
