Momentum trap (hopefully not)
Good morning all. Certainly yesterday morning was an interesting time. It follows a series about four significant announcements from First Cobalt Corporation in the past 30 days. Most of us, rightly so, would expect the bump up on good news - not today. A lot of us, and I'm confident most of us probably did very well after the trading halt on December 16 th 2020. Many of us chose to go long and ride the thing as far as it goes. Fortunately for me, I took money off the table, but I know many of you didn't and choose to go long. Since the highs of of December 16th when stocks were in the high 39 cents 40 cent range - it is now down to around $0.30. if you didn't take money off the table at the highs around 40 cents you may now be trapped at 30 cents and possibly lower. Momentum trap. A new phrase I learned this evening. Now nobody want to take the money out because they are afraid the stock will go up if they do. Hence the phrase- momentum trap. I'm not saying it is - but it really is an interesting phenomenon and very common.

Financing never sets a floor, sometimes these lenders take the shares then short the heck out of the stock, it always goes below the financing level
