Good article but it makes too much sense.  Governments tend to be reactive as opposed to proactive. Having said that, no doubt companies are aware of this major risk and are busy trying to mitigate some of it.   FCC is definetily in a good position going forward.

Our Govt has put in $10 cdn mil to c this through. Like they did with Petrol Can & made a mint . They did the same to bombaria @ 1$ and sold @ $5 CDN & made a mint. Very soldem do they fail or break even. Cobalt is a winner for all Canadians & will prove itself in the long run. U don't put this type of effort & money in a losing venture. ... Agreed.  Investing in FCC was a good move on their part.  I would like to see more such investments to get our economy fired up. Nothing wrong with investing into our future and protecting jobs but I don't see them stockpiling raw materials. What they can do is control the sourcing and distribution of raw materials through their investments.  I'm pretty sure the battery ...more
