corporate gasslighting

Ok, I have to get this off my chest. "the introduction of a comprehensive set of olicies and frameworks that underpin the Company's commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) best practices"  yatta yatta yatta.  Lets not forget the whistle blower thing and the cobalt institute, ethical sourced etc.
Now look the feed stock will be coming from the DRC via Glencore.  Excuse me but do we not have a sgnificant conflict here with this and this new mission statement???????
I could go on.  PLEASE spare us the woke, virtue signaling, gasslighting BS.  Its pathetic.  Never mind this mindless non contributing cow manure and get this refinery up and running.
One more thing.  I dont want to hear about cost increases.  I am in the construction business and am currently either building or about to start buildings that were negotiated last fall.  Our price is still good.  The buy-out was done and prices negotiated last fall.  Long lead time equipment was again bought back then at a fixed price.  Labour has gone up, and predictably so especially since this year was collective barganing time for all construction trades.  The settlements have been as predicted.  So less time on inventing BS and more time on actual WORK!
Leave the virtue signalling to the likes of the liberal party in Ottawa!
If it wasnt a financially ill advised thing to do I would sell all my shares over this.  Such woke BS nonsense!!!!!!!!

Thank you Silver. Yes all this holier-than- thou ESG , ethical mining  xx&@ . And the preaching from the mountains top I see here is a joke. Cobalt from the most corrupt area in the world . And we're partners with GC.... who pleads guilty to $1.5 Bil bribery charge....of which there's been others in the past.  And this whole   Charade here pretends to follow only ...more

I respectfully disagree with poster colleagues SilverO and Goldfather. I interpret Electra BOD approval as commitment to a solid combination of Core Values (which will have some sceptical perspectives asking what does "respect' mean?) and Sustainability Framework. As CEO Trent said "It is important that we have stringent ESG policies in place and conduct ourselves in accordance with ...more

Again leave the woke gasslighting to our less than esteemed person known as the Canadian prime minister.  Are you serious bud?  Do you honestly beleive if ELBM or any company for that matter, other than one run by Mother Theresa, would be in business if stringent ESG policies were honestly adheard too?  Especially one that is part of the mining industry.  This so called policy ...more

Then sell and move on. Complaining on a forum won't help your investment.
Comment by Silverad0 on Jun 02, 2022 11:11am
Complaining on a forum is one of the few ways we have to hold to account those that we empower to make wise decisions.  They do follow the sentiment on these forums.   Again this is so stupid.  "the Company's commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) best practices. Approved by the Company's Board of Directors, the policies cover Human Rights, Supply ...more

Accolades to you, Silverad0, for your post! Couldn't agree more. Those that view exchange of perspectives that run counter to their desired narrative scarcely bolster their credibility with claims of "complaining." Agree that this IS nonsense that is passing for signals of virtue. More like moves toward branding than anything else. I guess I'll need additional assurances that ...more

NatureBoy thank you.  While we live in very intersting times they are frustrating as can be. This is just one of those WTF moments. We dont need any more nonsense.  Thereverse split and this woke shite are nonsense.  We need cash flow and for that we need a plant producing battery materials.  I have said many times there is a narrow window of opportunity here.  Thats what ...more

Totally agree Silver and NatureBoy. I think IslandTime's idea to just move on if you don't agree w/ management and fellow pumping loud-mouths is interesting.  Lectures from the Cobalt mountain top trying to bury contrasting opinions and concerns are another point. .... this is a Penny Stock , which gives out limited info ( many times purposely ). Therefore Forums like this are ...more

You think this press release delayed construction? They are building and expanding the facilities as we speak. Do you want a magic button to press and refinery is done? World doesn't care how quickly you want your investment to increase.
Comment by 17Digger on Jun 02, 2022 11:30pm
Why should they listen to a whistlelower hotline when ELBM management would not even listen to their own corporate studies and our warnings and a significant 20 percent vote against consolidation of shares.  How did that turn out by the way? Are you better off now and richer after this consolidation pipe dream got pushed through?  Instead please start concentrating 100% on getting up ...more

"I am in the markets to make money. I have my limits and ELBM is nearing that limit! I just want to vomit here" What's your hurry? Buy the stock and expect it to go up because of your tiny share count. While all of you are railing on ESG note that is the only reason this refinery is being built / refurbished. If it wasn't for ESG we would continue to ship everything to China to ...more

Production in late 2022 or early 2023 is what we are waiting for. Or, a sexy partnership announcement. I have said this before. Nothing else is going to make this magically go faster or make the SP increase significantly. ESG is noise, but it has been around for a while and all corporations in NA that want to be taken seriously have to have it nailed down. Zero TRIF is another one. Complaining ...more

Agreed. Any company that is in bed with Glencore should shut up about the ethicality of anything.
