New Year Momentum Shift

Quite a tumble from the $4.00 mark a few months ago, but looks like we have put in the bottom for now around $2.20 - $2.25.  There was a large sell order of around 2.31 (then lowered to 2.27) right at the end of the year, but then it was pulled from sight to begin this week.  Anyway, the storm clouds of the last few weeks have served to make many of us question a lot of things about this venture.  Although not necessarily on high volume, a nice little move to begin the New Year.

This is the Venture market after all. Price fluctuations like these are common place. The hardest part about investing is not letting your emotions take control of your decision making. Other than a lousy equity raise and a delay the project fundamentals are mostly unchanged. One should not start questioning management based on your account balance, rather look at what has changed and make your ...more

Sorry for not getting back earlier, thanks for the good luck wishes, and the best in the New Year to you too.  I don't know if a contrary view (from yours, and maybe Wern Herr's and maybe MTwallet's) is necessarily an emotional one, or so easily described as that.  One might also say that falling in great favor to one's stock picks also has an element of emotion involved. ...more

Commissioning of an industrail facility is just proving that all facets of it are functioning properly and capable of doing whatever it's supposed to do. It doesn't mean generating revenue or creating product. So by April 13 this puppy should be cranking out some cash. Fingers crossed.

That's what I thought.  So your thinking it's the production thing by that date.  Let's see.  Both hands.

I should clarify that my comment about emotions was not directed at you Donfalo as I find your posts to be grounded and you ask fair questions, have fair concerns. I am not entirely happy with Trent and Co. mainly due to delays and the last equity raise but I also seem to have more tolerance for share price fluctuations than most so my resolve is more steady and I am looking at the long term ...more

A simplified clarification, hopefully helpful to some Bboard colleagues:  Commissioning is a vital step near the end of a plant's construction. Its purpose is to hand over to the owner, a safe, efficient and operation-ready facility, that performs according to its design intent and meets the owner's project requirements. The “erection” or building stage includes the physical ...more

Thanks for your very well written commissioning summary EIj. It help put things, especially timeline expectations, in perspective and is a reminder to those with prior commissioning experience of the multiple stages required from construction completion to full production and final turnover to operations and maintenance personnel.

Yes, he did just love another dose of rehashed nothing.  This ESG stuff and net zero etc is the flavour of the day.  This next generation wont listen, wont accept , wont even consider any other side to the story.  It's all about inclusion and equity and righting perceived wrongs that often have no basis in truth.  Often the inclusion is anything but inclusive.   ...more
