Hi All,
I am also invested (sadly) in this huge disappointment of ELBM.



it's time to start producing something with real value, be it batteries or recycled minerals...I still remember the plan of using Idaho and Canadian mines to sell Cobalt for North American batteries, now cobalt is out of the picture and it slowly, disappointment after disappointment, turned into recycled black mass.

Billions of dollars promised by the feds for large non Canadian corporations and Electra can't get a few million to plow ahead. I don't have time now to calculate it, but wonder how much each Electra job would cost to "make" versus the auto/battery manufacturing jobs are being created with government handouts..

Typical of our governments. They promote and throw huge sums of money at the finished product while doing very little for the supply of the raw materials.  So how do you suppose these battery plants will produce batteries while the supply of raw materials has been stifled by onerous regulation, lack of commitment and funding?  They will continue to source supply from the DRC and at the ...more

Agreed Silverad0. And the media is so lame, all they do is follow the money. Not once in the Stellantis or other EV stories have I seen any media outlet ask where the cobalt/minerals will be sourced from. Just political photo ops and back slapping.

The details don't matter.  Only the pitch.  Didn't both the Federal and Provincial governments each kick in $5M a piece to ELBM, a short while back? No follow up?
