ENCORE RENAISSANCE RESOURCES CORP. CLOSES FINANCING

Encore Renaissance Resources Corp. has closed a non-brokered private placement originally announced Dec. 21, 2011. The company placed 30 million units of the company at a price of five cents per unit for gross proceeds totaling $1.5-million. Each unit consists of one common share and one common share purchase warrant, with each warrant exercisable at 10 cents for a period of two years following the closing of the offering. The proceeds of the financing will be used for general working capital purposes.

The private placement is subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
