Hearing was interesting.
It is the first House committee meeting I have watched from start to finish. I was amazed by the civility in the room, which is very unusual these these days. All the committee members, from both parties, seem to agree that NOAA is doing a good job and should get more funding. What this means for Flyht is not clear, since it takes Congress a long time to pass bills and the Republicans, in particular, are not very interested in spending money.
However, Flyht did get significant exposure and the fact that they were chosen to participate speaks volumes in there favour.
All three individuals giving testimony were credible and very good at explaining why more funding was needed. I was impressed by Flyht's representative, Meredith Bell.
The information delivered was very dense and will leave it to someone else (perhaps CF105) to summarize it.

Was that because they wheeled you out to the common TV room for a few hours ?
