Oil and its history

First drill hole then become rich. That was the thinking in the beginning. Crude oil has become way more than that. The refining of crude has lead to advancement of society on a Global scale. Crude oil is needed to create millions of products including medicines and things we take for granted everyday.

Eliminating the need for Oil from society is impossible but running out of it is possible and that is what's going on now.

Gen III tech is going to be sought after because demand will always increase for Group III oils. Shell is now using nat gas to make syn oil. GIII and other technologies are the future.

You make good points but....there is a permanent oil glut, plastics use is and will be under alot of pressure and Nat gas is virtually free.

The stone age didn't end because we ran out of stones. We are not running out of oil. We can have all we want. The imperative is that we need to stop using it as soon as possible and transition to clean alternatives. That is a fact, except in Alberta.

Checkup, I can tell you're upset. Fortunately we have the ability to wipe out 2/3 of the world's population in minutes. That would relieve a lot of the pressure on the remainder. Millions of Thanksgiving turkeys would rejoice.
