I've known and been in and out of this story since 2014. Maybe earlier. Not to mention I've never said a bad word about this company in my life, and continue not to. 

It's your choice to hold or not, not mine. I'm just stating a fact and believe me when I say I didn't make it sound nearly as scary as it was passed on to me. I figured those on the bullboard investing alongside me had a right to know that getting a permit is not set in stone and the minister of mines is still waiting for a community consensus (or bribe, whatever they call it down there). For better or worse.

Every share being sold is being picked up at discount prices. Majority holders have not sold. This will come to fruition but as it has been said before..."The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient." I hear what you are saying though, there are other places to invest as well and some quick cash can be made. Good luck! GLTA.

@Inca2020 - Unless you were told by the MEM of DR that the permit has been declined you are not right about anything. You decided back in September that you were no longer willing to bear the opportunity cost of waiting for the permit, which is fine but let's not waste our energy on speculating until we get official info.

It was in a local newspaper reposted in English by a blogger.... coming from the minister of mines. I never said that it wasn't going to come or that a decision was made. At the time the entire bullboard was pumped up from the election thinking it would happen within weeks. In this regard I was right. After a few weeks had gone by... I still hold a small amount of shares but sold a much larger position in September. I have no intention of buying or selling any more until a final decision is made.  as for me being right: The original newspaper said that more community consensus and involvement would be required with this project.  The second news article the one that dipped the price from .37 to .275 is that

Again you reducing your exposure to GQC is really based on how your view the opportunity cost of waiting for the permit.,  it is true that we lost a lot of the price momentum that was built up to the first round election of Luis Abinader, but from my perspective this new administration has stayed in lign with its pre-election stance on the Romero project. Management at GQC is experienced and honest. I have no doubt that they will follow the letter of the law and give the project the best fighting chance it has. The skepticism lies with the government in the DR who are all intertwined through generations living on a small island. They're dealing with outsiders and that always goes against the company. If they sign the permits it will be

The credibility and experience of the GQC management team really shows in their discipline and patience througout the years waiting on this project. With all of the corruption allegations from the previous DR administration coming to light, I am sure the GQC management had to remain extremely disciplined to not get influenced into greasing the wheels for the permit approval. I am sure

Lots of valid points. It has been some time now since the election. If it is going to happen, likely a decision will be made within a reasonable period of time, for better or worse. They can't ignore it forever.
