The new general director of Mining, Rolando Muoz, promised on Monday to streamline the permitting processes to increase the country's mining production to reach the amount of two million ounces of gold.
Muoz, when he was sworn in today as the new Mining Director during a ceremony headed by the Vice Minister of Mines, Miguel Daz, stated that at the end of 2024 the country should be producing the amount of 2.1 million ounces of gold, as long as it is provide the necessary support to small and large mining companies in the country.
'' We are going to do a new mining, in accordance with the principles of environmental laws, where we will develop a work team, to fulfill the commitment of our government program, to produce by the year 2024 the equivalent of two million ounces of gold '', said.
