I agree Steadriser, the Prez needs to fins a way to allow GQC to undertake the Envirmental Impact Study so the Community's debate is based in facts and not propaganda...

It always comes down to one thing, MONEY! The usual back handed payout didn't take place for the last gov because GQC has always been above board. Their next move is to send out misinformation to the locals in hopes of squashing this, hopefully delay the project until a possible changing of the guard at the next election. This current government needs to grow a pair and get this moving, this

Rumours are that this week the permit will be granted, subject to EIS / independant report like with barrick.

I'ts quite rare for the stock price to rally decently, (+8%), so soon after a rumor appears. Perhaps Yonexx could elaborate on the source of the rumor? TIA!

Various person close to gov. But like said before, this happened many times before. But maybe this time its correct. GLTA!

I would hardly call this a rally. It got sold off pretty hard durring gold's correction. I think the price is absurdly cheap at these levels, but it's kind of a crapshoot as to when/if the gov is going to issue the permit. That having been said, the risk/reward ratio for speculation is extremely attractive here.

Also we have seen how easy it is to kneecap these upward moves, all you need is some anymous to anymous using 500 shares to drop the price. GQC is definetly attractive at these levels, expecially since nothing has fundamentally changed from price at .25 levels

Exactly, it looked great at .30,.35, .40. Right after it hit .50 . I am a believer in GQC but am tired of hearing the " in the know" guys making their permit calls. You know who you are. If they are truly getting their info from DM  and BF as they claim, then we are in deep $hit because they obviously don't know what's going on. BF did return a call of mine about 31/2 years

   We sure do need something more than lip service... I have talked with numerous people in country and yes DM is on top of things but the people of the Dominican Republic needed more time after the rampant corruption that occured to them from the last administration.    Things are very close to cullminating and many expected the EIS anouncement last week. This does not

Is the EIS expected before, after, or with the Exploitation permit?  My understanding is that in the past the Expoitation permit came first?

 The exploitation permit comes first and it is conditioned with a clean EIS. The people somehow now get to have a say if the EIS is allowed which is something strange because this stops the whole process.  They are only doing this because the last 8 years of looting by the past administration. We need to hear something good tomorrow....

The MEM liked a post on social media about Romero. Again being postive about the project in the public domain. The permit is close now. 'Finally let science and wisdom determine the needed location and design... Excellent Mr Minister. Let us not forget the needs of the people of San Juan, Romero is ideal for a safe and clean location if determined by the Environmental studies.'
