Anyone know what's happening about Barrick getting permission for its tailings and the assumption that they might leave the DR if they don't get it ?

I'm assuming that the very commendable anti-corruption drive from the DR government is reassuring Barrick that all will be well in the near future ...

Ive heard the new tailings might be next to the old dam. Couple 100 usd million extra cost for barrick. I dont take the barrick leaving DR too seriously. They never tend to leave a dominant position in a country (pgn/porgera). They just start to make money in the DR after their investments. And the DR needs their mining revenue badly.
