... sees a couple of potentially significant dates in the near future :

1) the 2nd anniversary of the DR Presidency on the 15th August (the half-way point)

2) the arrival of Mr. Luis Santana Pereyra around the 1st September

Both dates seem positive to me, so I feel like the permit can't be too far away now.

Point #2 perhaps. Point number 1? I don't believe this has any significance. These guys are slow as hell on a good day. I think they lack the expertise and motivation to get this rolling. It is an environmental study. Should have been a go 4 years ago. GLTA

Point 3 is the DR mining convention in October. It would be funny if the the host country is one big sh*t show. I am not saying at all they could be on stage there, smiling and celebrating, while goldquest is bleeding to death. Very possible. Everything is possible in the DR. Logic does not exist.

You are exactly correct POD! It's a permit...to work towards yet another permit. DR has all but a very few on board, yet, for some reason they haven't allowed this to go forward. Everyone from the President down has spoken out in favor of this "Environmentally Friendly State of the Art to which all should be compared" Frustrated as we all are, I see them appointing a respected
