Jus after Luis took office 2 yrs ago the first words out of Almonte in public was "just because you find gold does not mean you can mine it" " no new gold zones in the DR"... At that time I took those public statements as Luis is no better than Medina.Many here got pissed at me for stating the DR is not mining friendly. Now the biggest CEO.CA GQC supporter as now come out of his Stockholm Coma and admits that Luis is never going to permit Romero from his connections in the DR. "

@Burlguy Full disclosure I had a long conversation with an in country authority today. If we are not putting economic and political pressure on Abinader we will not get the permit from him...Period end of story. He has no reason to sign it and jeopardize his voting base. I will have more information possibly tomorrow that may aid in coercing performance. It is up to us to continue the social media blitz as the management of Goldquest cannot be involved with an active campaign that will affect public opinion.

I agree that the President seems unwilling to risk votes at the next election by granting a permit.  BUT ... Burlguy also said that if pressure is applied, the President may be coerced into granting it. Plus, the new "local" CEO should help as well.

Bottom line is Dave and Bill went to the DR to find out where GQC stands and left empty handed so much so that Dave throws in the towel and steps down as CEO as did Bill ,Julio and now dave.No one wants to be CEO under the current gov in the DR.Then GQC throws a bone to shareholders of an exploration program that has never been started as far as I can see.Now Burlguy states what I have been saying
