I like seeing that 500,000 bid slowly move its way up.

All we need now is one or two analysts to start covering this play, that alone will propel the SP well above $1.00. Good luck

I just don't get it. You have Gatekeeper struggling to reach a $ and you have Gamestop and AMC at record highs and nobody going to the theatres anymore.  gme up 111% today  amc up 171 %  gatekeeper with record q1 down 2.33%  The markets are out of whack.

please don't mention GME here.. I sold that at $37 (after riding it as a value play since $6, it was trading at like 0.1x of revenues with a clean balance sheet) and I still feel so bad. I trade based on fundamentals and not speculating on some ""squeeze"" and I lose out on almost a million (in a TFSA too).. lol.. Slow moving fundamentals stocks are much less stressful. I ...more

Well, some will sell into the bid as they have made their required profit, 10,20,50,100% return or more. Taking profit. Eventually this will dry up. 500,000 could be a larger fund coming in. Funds will begin stability as they are typically not day traders.

You need to read news Gamestop and Amc being pushed by wallstreetbets on reddit along with Nokia and blackberry all MOMO from young traders squeezing shorts ! Its a new movement to save struggling companies and people's shares and money basically going after intuitions and short sellers killing companies ... it actually shook the markets pretty good !!!
Comment by Aarman4 on Jan 28, 2021 12:29am
Though I applaud the effort, they're is no way I am going to risk my capital to "show those shorters a lesson"...... It's not brain surgery what we're doing here, just but a company that is undervalued and derisked, then hold on to it and act like an owner until the company creases to serve your best interests.... Let the sorts do their thing, if they're wrong, I promise ...more

I was well aware of what was happening. It is just utterly insane! People banding together to inflate a stock price or short sell a stock should be illegal. This network effect on social media is really concerning to me and I hope the Sec comes down hard at  these people.

I completely disagree. The retail mob on WSB is just playing the same game the big hedge funds are. It's great to see organizations like Citron on the receiving end of their own tactics. Anyway, hype stocks can soar or plummet as they will. I'll keep my dollars in solid plays like bc GSI.

From my perspective, I have never seen such froth in a long time. We now have a band of Millenials and people who 40 years ago probably made "cold calls" to sell me insurance posing as YouTubers giving daily stock tips.   The term "Reddit Mob" should also include Wall Street Hedge Funds"  I really don't care who is doing the screwing.  We should be ...more

I noticed loging in to my TD account this morning they are restricting the shorting of some companies and require 100% margin. They obviously don't want to be left holding the bag. The shorts/hedge funds have been getting away with short attacks for too long. How do they even get away with shorting 150% of a company's o/s shares????
Comment by Dunworkin2 on Jan 28, 2021 10:06am
Consider yourself lucky, I can't get into my TD webroker account. Pizz poor service.
Comment by treehill on Jan 28, 2021 10:10am
At least you could log into TD - it isn't working for me. Clearly some of the shorts are breaking the rules and I would assume their brokers have to be in on it somehow. Shorting 150% of the float makes no sense. One of the stocks I've had for about a decade has been on the receiving end on multiple short attacks, where the shorts commission reports that are full of inaccuracies to drive ...more

Shorting just makes the stock market more volatile. They should just get rid of it.
