GSI is fine. The American economy is 3rd world status. Only thing that keeps them goin is military spending. DOD and DOJ are ramping up contracts and purchases to American companies. However all that money comes from the Fed Reserve and the Feds are buying their own bonds because the rest of the World doesn't want them. I think the entire US liability stands at 121 Trillion which includes

the USA is deep in debt and it started after the Civil War. In Canada the last figure I found was $65k per Canadian from all sectors of gov. That would be Fed, Prov, City, County. I haven't been able to find a total for all US gov debt. But just the US FED debt is about $400k per American. Canadian Fed debt is about $28k per person. Sorry off topic but interesting.
