Question Re: Foreign Exchange Expense

Can someone with accounting knowlege comment on the  foreign exchange expense of $309,000.  Seems like it accounted for a large  part of the Total Comprehensive Loss for the quarter.

I'm not an accountant but my basic understanding is a company can record foreign exchange gains/losses when the currency fluctuates on sold goods in another currency.  If they sell goods in US dollars and the CAD dollar increases by the time they are paid, they can record an exchange loss and vice versa.  The CAD dollar has increased a fair amount this year so it's normal to see

Thank you  TopStockBuy.   I wish Mr. Dyment  would of emphasized that in the  PR. I also want to speculate that GSI looks like a potential takeover candidiate at this point in time. It has been mentioned that their tech is superior and I would think that  would catch the eye of bigger players.  Who knows??

Takeover candidate at this time? Far from it. They are still in the proof of concept phase. They need to start selling these ALE systems to a few MTAs first before they gather the attention of bigger players.

Kidl2 All I know is that we are undervalued and have some compelling tech and financial metrics.. I'm sure there must be some lookers. What are your thoughts?

Mike,  nice goading on but no skin of my teeth to comply -)   As you well know, I don’t like your usual modus operand of getting seed shares / dirt cheep PP’s and then promoting the "H" out of companies with your 100’s or 1,00’s of subscribers.   GSI seems to be different, I can’t find any evidence of you / your group getting cheap shares. Maybe I am just not digging
